Information you provide: Name, email, phone number, vehicle details when you create an account or submit a service request.

Location data: GPS coordinates when you submit a help request or when a Merchant shares their live location during a job. Location is only collected when you actively use the service.

Service data: Request history, service types, ratings, disputes, and photo proof uploaded by Merchants.

Technical data: Browser type, device info, IP address, and cookies for session management.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Match you with the nearest available Merchant
  • Enable live GPS tracking during active jobs
  • Process and resolve service requests
  • Handle disputes using photo proof and GPS data
  • Improve our platform and algorithms
  • Communicate service updates, if you've opted in
  • Detect and prevent fraud

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only when necessary:

  • With Merchants: Your approximate location during an active job so they can navigate to you.
  • With Customers: Merchant name and live location during a job.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request.

4. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Service request data (including GPS logs and proof photos) is retained for 12 months for dispute resolution and quality assurance. You may request deletion of your data by contacting support.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management, CSRF protection, and remembering your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Security

We protect your data with: encrypted connections (HTTPS), bcrypt password hashing, CSRF token protection, secure session management, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt out of marketing communications

8. Children

MAQTOU is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
